Deck App Terms

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These terms cover the Dal Dom deck app and the deck links it creates on daldom.com. The rest of daldom.com has its own terms. Using the app means you accept these.

What we store and why is on the deck app privacy page.

1. What the service does

You upload a PDF or a PowerPoint file. We turn it into slide images and give you a short link such as daldom.com/k7m. You open that link on your client's screen and drive the slides from your phone: next, back, draw on a slide, point, zoom, whiteboard.

People in the room can leave their name and email. When you end the session they get the slides by email, with anything you drew on them.

People watching on their own phones can also ask a question, answer a poll you open and react. You choose how much of that is switched on, and unless you turn it off, a question reaches the screen at the front only when you tap it.

2. Your account

You sign in with your email. We send a code, you type it, you are in. There is no password.

A deck belongs to the person who uploaded it. Only that person can present it, rename it, replace it or delete it. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.

3. What you can upload

The limits:

  • PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx, .ppt and the rest of the family), Keynote and OpenDocument files. Not a Google Slides link: download it as one of those first.
  • 95 MB per file, 150 slides per deck, 20 active decks per account.
  • You need the right to upload the file and to show what is in it.
  • Nothing illegal, nothing built to harm, nothing you are not allowed to share.

Every file is scanned for viruses before anything else happens. If the scan finds something, the file is deleted and the deck fails. We can suspend an account that breaks these rules.

4. What happens to your file

Your file is converted to one image per slide. Speaker notes are read out of a PowerPoint file and stored as text so your phone can show them.

The original file is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes. It is never served to anyone and never downloadable. Only the images are. Keep your own copy, because we do not keep one.

Conversion loses animations and slide transitions. Video and animated GIFs inside a PowerPoint file are kept and play on the screen. A PDF keeps none of them. A font the server does not have is swapped for another one, so a slide can look slightly different. If the look matters more than the video, export to PDF from PowerPoint and upload that.

5. Who can open your deck

A three character link is short enough to guess, so the link on its own does not show the slides. It shows a QR code and waits for your phone. The ways in:

  • Your phone. It has to be signed in to the account that owns the deck. When it scans the QR code on the screen, the screen shows your slides and nobody types anything.
  • Anyone holding a share link or a recap email link. Those carry a key that belongs to your deck, and the key opens it straight away.
  • A screen your phone unlocked stays unlocked in that browser for 12 hours, so a refresh does not lock it again.
  • Someone who only knows the three characters sees the QR code and nothing else. The six digits under it are a different thing: anyone who reads them off the screen, or guesses them, gets the deck the way the room gets it, on their own phone. They cannot drive it and they cannot reach your account.

A key link can be passed on by whoever has it, so treat a deck as readable by anyone you send it to.

6. You choose how long a deck lasts

You pick how long a deck is kept: 7, 30, 90, 180 or 365 days from upload. A new deck is set to 30 days, and you can change it any time from the deck screen. When the time is up, the deck and its slides are deleted. We email you 3 days before. Replacing a deck with a new file starts that time again. Changing the time is counted from the upload, so a deck that is already older than the time you pick is deleted on the next sweep, which runs every few minutes.

Short links come out of a pool, and once your deck is gone the link is given to someone else's deck. That is why an old link shows an expired page: we would rather tell a person the deck has gone than show them a stranger's slides.

When a deck is deleted, its slides, thumbnails, speaker notes, the words read off each slide and the annotated images go with it. So do the questions, poll answers and reactions the room left on it. The people who left their details do not. They stay yours until you delete them.

7. The details people leave

Contact details entered at your presentation are yours, not ours. We store them for you and email them for you. So you are the one responsible for what you do with them, for telling people why you are asking, and for answering them if they want their details removed.

Recap emails go out from a Dal Dom sending address. The name on them is your company, and a reply goes to you, not to us. You write the wording once in Settings.

8. Price

Free while we learn what this should be. If that changes, we will tell you before it applies to you.

9. What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, and we do not promise a conversion will always match your file exactly. Do not make it your only copy of a presentation.

As far as the law allows, Dal Dom is not liable for lost business, lost data or other indirect loss from using the service. Any liability is capped at SAR 500.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app. That removes the account, its decks, the slides made from them and the leads collected with them. It cannot be undone.

You can also do it without the app, from the deletion page on daldom.com. Enter your email address, we send you a link, and opening it and confirming removes the same things. The link works once and lasts 30 minutes.

11. Changes and law

We may change these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and using the app after that means you accept the change.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
